Some of the worlds largest clubs have been closed by the spainish goverment for up to two months. Diario de Ibiza, the news agency for Ibiza has reported that superclubs Amnesia, DC10 and Bora Bora have been forced to shut down with immediate effect. DC10 will be shut for two months Amnesia and Bora Bora for one month each. The goverment has been monitoring the sale and use of illegal narcotics in the last two summer seasons.
The government has now clamped down on these clubs saying the use of drugs is dangerous and could harm the tourist trade in the longer term.
The closure has come just as the ibiza season is about to begin with the big opening parties, with clubbers from around the world having already booked their holidays, It will have a serious effect on the dance music industry with club nights making all their money in the three month peak season.
